Platinum Jubilee Party - final info

Good evening, Only 3 sleeps until our Royal Jubilee Party 🙂 Some final points and a reminder of the original points! Volunteers - We could really do with some more volunteers from 10am on Sunday (even if you can just spare an hour or 2!), this is to put the tables and chairs out etc Drawing Competition - Please hand in your drawings for the Drawing Competition by 3.30pm on Sunday. Judging and announcement of Winners will be made by 4pm. Please remember to put your name and age on the back of the drawing. Our Royal Jubilee Party is fast approaching so we thought we would send out an email with some last minute bits and bobs! Firstly, remember that there is a Cake Competition! This should be lots of fun and we would love you to bring a cake to enter into the competition. The following are the categories:

  • Best-tasting cake

  • Best-decorated/prettiest cake

  • Most original cake

Secondly, don’t forget your tea party food – be it sandwiches, cakes, jellies, crisps, strawberries and much beyond. We will provide tea and squash, but the rest of this celebration meal is down to you! If the weather is fine, the BBQ will also be available for use later in the afternoon. We will be having a Drawing Competition on the day with the following categories:

  • 3-5 years old. Come to the Queens Tea Party and colour in your crown - cut it out and wear it. Parents need to help with this project. Colouring pencils, scissors and crown to colour will be provided

  • 6 - 9 years

  • 10 - 13 years

  • 14 - 16 years

Bring along your drawing in any media - colour pencils, charcoal, watercolour, acrylic. Subject: Draw anything that you think represents something to do with Royalty. Prizes for each age group. Our resident artist Trina Bohan has kindly agreed to judge each category. We very much hope it will be a sunny day and we have a large amount of tables and chairs (as well as plates and cups etc) available for the tea party however you may wish to bring along a picnic rug (we are hoping for fair weather fingers crossed!) as we are expecting quite a large number of people so this may be a good idea to ensure you have a seat! Bunting! We would love to see the Terraces and Mews in particular decorated with as much bunting as possible to add to the event so please do decorate your dwellings and/railings if you can. Again, due to the amount of food and children, it would be best if dogs stayed at home but if that’s not possible, on leads please, thank you! Thank you to our volunteers! We are so appreciative of your help to make this an enjoyable event for all. We very much look forward to welcoming all of our guests on the day, see you all then!
